I fell in love with the fantasy genre before I even knew it had a name. To me, it was just Disney and fairy tales and magic and something that no one in their right mind could live without. Recently I decided that I should probably write down all the random bits of Story that kept popping up in my head, and thus my dream of being an author was born. Since this is still a fairly recent dream, my portfolio is small, but I have worked hard to perfect it. In between writing (mainly short stories, though I am working on a novel as well), I read as much as I can--and not only fantasy. I have a deep and abiding love as well for all things Austen, for cozy mysteries, for art history/archaeology mysteries, and for the occasional historical fiction. Fantasy, however, remains my truest love, especially stories with a strong mythological bent (especially Celtic), fairy tales, high or urban fantasies with strong heroines, and well-crafted historical fantasies.
