Rest In Peace: Robin Williams

He was a president, a homeless man, an alien, a nanny, a magical genie, a therapist, a comedian, a star, an Oscar winner, and an icon. He was a man of many talents.

"I left school and couldn't find acting work, so I started going to clubs where you could do stand-up. I've always improvised, and stand-up was this great release. All of a sudden, it was just me and the audience." - Robin Williams

Thank you, Zach, for your kind words. I'm still shocked from hearing the news...

Rest in Peace.

I've been reading through Robin Williams's many memorable quotes on IMDB.com and I found this one that I thought was particularly moving as a writer:

"No matter what anybody tells you, words and ideas can change the world."

It's from Dead Poets Society, a fantastic movie about writing and reading.

RIP to the great actor.

Lucy

When a friend of mine first told me the news, I thought she was making some sort of tasteless joke.

How I wish that she had been.    : (

RIP Robin
