About the Book:

Stephanie Glover has always been an outsider, forced to hide her abilities to manipulate electricity and read minds--an unusual combination even amongst Talented humans. When she's "recruited" (kidnapped) by the U.S. military and thrown into their anti-terrorism team, her first thought is to escape. But the terrorist attacks on the United States have increased in scope and frequency. Innocents are dying. And video footage shows that the enemy has Talented teams of its own. The U.S. is playing catch-up, and Steph's task force might be their only hope for victory. Talent, however, comes with a price. Each member's "Achilles heel" is different. Steph's is a need for sex. Well, all that unused energy has to go somewhere, right? At least, in the military, there's no shortage of willing partners. Talented team members have a different set of rules and regulations, and casual encounters are encouraged. The problem is, some of her teammates want the relationships to be more than "casual."

Author's Note:

Adding this in due to some mistaken perceptions up front: This is not YA. Although there are some flashbacks to the main character at a younger age, this is not intended for a YA audience.
