About the Book:
Thomas married Anne to avoid scandal and save her reputation. He's notorious for his hedonistic ways, and she's feisty--and will not stand for a philandering husband. Determined to make him fall in love with her--and thus reform his womanizing--she consults a book of marital advice she found in her grandfather's library.
Thomas admired Anne's spirit, but after the wedding, she becomes sort of female he despises: clingy, submissive, and dull. However, there are glimpses that all is not what it seems, and he begins to challenge and irritate her purposely to see her fire again.
When he is accused of adultery, her trust in him is shattered. He must prove to her that the accusation is false and she is the woman who matters most to him.
