About the Book:

One year after quitting the Canadian Scanning Tournament, Cam Tylar is ready. When Artificial Intelligence Morphers (AIMs) were created 22 years earlier, the scientists found a dangerous flaw in the substance and chip coding which allowed AIMs to become completely animalistic. Underground scientists finally created a chip which will always remain under the laws of robotics, and Cam has successfully trained it. But the founders of Scanning, the McCarthys, are not happy. If the public found out they were selling potentially dangerous AIMs it would ruin the sport, Scanning, and ruin their reputation. After resigning from Revolution, Maria Kier joined the Canadian Army as an AIM Operations Technician (AIMOT). After an attempt on her life, she sought out Cam for answers, and together they learn how dark the McCarthys are. They must find a way to bring the new AIM into the mainstream, keep their lives, and use Maria's connections in the military to finally bring down the McCarthys.

About the Author:

Nichole Sotzek has a B.A in Near Eastern Archaeology and Medieval Studies. She is a member of ASOR, and a member of the women's fraternity Delta Gamma.

Author's Note:

The introduction was written after I wrote chapter 1, and so there is duplicate information found in chapter 1. I have left it as is for now for various opinions. I tried to write this as stand alone as possible. An understanding of the sport, Scanning, is not needed to understand this book, but keep in mind that character connections may be lost.
