About the Book:
Henry Wallace watches the stranger from his apartment window. Every night, this mysterious man exits the complex in a suit and tie, looking immaculate and icy, ready for anything that comes his way. Henry's imagination is not being helped by his MFA. From mob, to drug runner, to assassin, whatever career seems sexiest is the one Henry decides must be correct.
James Byrnes slinks into the Cadillac every night knowing that he could be some cougar's arm candy, an older lady's 'grandson' escorting grandmother to the opera, or worst of all, some old man's dirty little secret or 'intern' as the night began. He's been an employee of The House for the last six years, and hated far too many moments of it. He's been saving money, counting down to September when he can shed his job and go back to school to actually get a college degree.
Henry schemes to get them on the elevator at the same time, but even with sparks, can their disparate lifestyles find a way to come together?
