About the Book:

Lost to history, Cali (California) Malone was the only female sheriff in the Old West. When her town of Oblivion is overrun by the Eye Killers and consumed by demon fire, she is magically transported by the bite of a phoenix to awaken in 2012. Oblivion has risen again, resurrected and rebuilt by Hollywood money to be the set of Harsh Reality, a television series dropping modern day average citizens into their counterpart roles of the past. Cali is perfect for the part of the female sheriff, and, cast as herself, she is given a second chance to fight the evils that destroyed everything and everyone she knew and loved. But will this fight cost her the growing relationship with Will Links, the man playing the town gambler (and her long-dead lover)?

About the Author:

Ellie Isis teaches middle school by day and writes science fiction/romance by night. She's represented by Amy Boggs at the Donald Maass Literary Agency.

Author's Note:

Harsh Reality is my first attempt at writing an adult urban fantasy, and I'm discovering a real passion for the genre. This manuscript is fully plotted and one-third complete.
