About the Book:

Emma is an innocent who has gone through more in her life than anyone should. Things happened in her childhood that she deals with daily. Some of the problems were exacerbated by her cousin's best friend Brandon when they were children. Brandon knows Emma hates him, but he didn't realize it was because of how he treated her when they were children. When she tells him what very few others know, and that he was a major part of it, he is horrified and immediately decides to try to make it up to her. After a while, the past doesn't matter. But her trust issues and Brandon's guilt get in the way, clouding the issue, until Emma realizes that she is no longer willing to settle for safe.

About the Author:

After 20 years in OKC's theatre community, Samantha has decided to go back to what she loves doing that isn't quite as stressful as being a Stage Manager.

Author's Note:

This story is part of a challenge I issued to myself beginning August 1, 2011. I read a romance novel by a major publisher that angered me in so many ways. There were so many issues, in syntax, etc. It would say one thing and immediately go against it. So I issued myself a challenge to write a novel in 30 days...that has since been extended. I'm coming up on the one year anniversary, and am hoping to get this sucker published via self-pub pretty soon, so if there is anything you can tell me about this story that needs help, let me know. All assistance is appreciated!
