About the Book:

When the Swarm hits Leanton, it seems like there's no hope for its citizens. The few soldiers in the city aren't enough to hold back the attackers and safety is hours away. Thankfully, there is one hope: The SPARTAN. The university anime club ( an 'eclectic' group of engineering and computing students)has built themselves their very own giant robot and then armed it. Now, it's about the only thing standing between their friends and extermination. Of course, it would help if they'd done any testing before turning it on.

About the Author:

Timothy Maguire is a young author of Science Fiction and Fantasy. An avid gamer, he often tries to create stories that are as unique as the worlds on his table.

Author's Note:

This is a relatively short novel (~54,000 words) waiting for me to start its epilogue. The story has quite a few anime references (there's almost a small game to see if you can catch all four references in the opening scene), but I hope that it's accessible to readers who aren't fans or familiar. It's supposed to be fun with a relatively serious story, but i'm uncertain how I've pitched it.
