About the Book:
An alternate-Earth, late 19th-century tale of imperialism, expansionist railroading, high society power and privilege, genocidal racism, mind-control and the forced inculcation of those religio-political values and beliefs that enabled church and state to run roughshod over marginalized, dissenting voices in the name of “Progress” and “Manifest Destiny”. So . . . nothing like actual, "real-Earth" US history, then. . . .

Author's Note:
Note: I apologize for the white double-space line issue that appears intermittently throughout the text. There are no breaks or pagination in the Word copy I uploaded, so I'm at a loss as to how to resolve this technical issue. When I intend there to be a break in chronology or otherwise scene-shift within the text, I mark the transition with three page-centered asterisks, thusly: "***".
