About the Book:
"Briar Witch" is a retelling of Sleeping Beauty from a new perspective (Honorary Mention, March 2012 for Enchanted Conversation: A Fairy Tale Magazine). "Breadcrumbs and Dragons" tells the story of two young children who bond over the story of Hansel and Gretel. "Marble and Flesh" is a retelling of the Pygmalion and Galatea myth with a tragic twist. "Almost Ordinary" tells the story of a shy girl who has an ability to find things that aren't quite ordinary and that give her courage in an unhappy life. "The Lady Thief" follows the adventures of an orphaned girl who is forced to help a witch kidnap a princess, and then must steal her back. "Stories for Monsters" is a piece of flash fiction about having to deal with the unusual tastes of a monster under one's bed.
About the Author:
Christina is working on her MA in Art History. She loves horseback riding and birdwatching and has a completely unbalanced ratio of books to bookshelf space.
Author's Note:
Every story I write seems to end up having a fantasy or fairy tale element, some more so than others. I will keep adding stories as I write them. Thanks for reading!
