About the Book:
In the far past man had created The Machine. Harnessing the power of the Universe it gave any person who wanted one a world of their own, a world where they were a God. Vain, hedonistic and brutal, every Original, as they call themselves, is omnipotent on his or her own world, but also intensely paranoid and jealous of all others. But now someone is killing them. Assigned to investigate the murders by the weak central authority known as the Council, the Enforcer and his Apprentice must carefully visit suspect worlds, all the time knowing that the slightest mistake could very well mean their deaths.
About the Author:
Doc Tom is a geologist, teacher, lifelong SF fan, avid photographer and hiker who loves nothing more than a day wandering mountain trails.
Mainly cleaned up writing, but I've added an additional brief chapter. NOTE: I AM NOT the person posting negatives after reviews. Harper and Brian, I value your reviews. I never post negatives unless I feel that the comments in the review are wildly out of bounds.
I'm trying a lot of description and creating a universe. So development is slower than most of the SF stories I've read on BookCountry. I'd really like to know if the worlds I've created work for you, and if this holds as a murder mystery. At what point did you become engaged in the story (or gave up on it)? Thank you in advance.
