Author's Note:
This Lovecraftian novelette is a black farce and affectionate homage to "The Gentleman Sage of Providence." WARNING! If nested subordinate clauses, archaisms, foreign words, recondite terminology and the baroque, serpentine writhings of purple prose gone mad provoke you to paroxysms of sputtering fury—move on!—there's nothing for you to see here.
For those of you who "get it", I hope my tale will prove an amusing and pleasant divertissement from modernity.
